membership

Membership is an intentional way to establish Evangel as your church home. We want you to feel a sense of purpose as you build relationships, serve others, and ultimately grow deeper in your faith with God as you pursue membership at Evangel. There is no pressure to become a member; however, it allows you to be fully bought into the mission and vision of Evangel. We believe that by becoming a member, you will grow spiritually, relationally, and personally, and have opportunities for greater leadership in ministry at our church.

Below are the personal disciplines and church activities required for membership at Evangel.

1. For your spiritual life: 

• Be born again, giving evidence of a consistent Christian life in line with the moral principles of Scripture. 
• Have been baptized in water by immersion subsequent to being born again.
  

2. In your engagement with Evangel:

• Regularly attend weekly worship services.
• Have been a part of one or more Connect Groups in the past year.
• Have regularly served on a Dream Team in the past six months.
• Have faithfully tithed at Evangel Church prior to applying for membership.
• Agree with Evangel Church’s belief statements, strategy, and structure.

3. For common understanding: 

• Be at least 18 years old. 
• Complete all three weeks of Heart & Soul.
