TWENTY-ONE DAYS OF

Prayer And Fasting

In today’s culture, fasting is often viewed as a health trend or a wellness habit. While it does benefit the body, for Christians, fasting is a Biblical and spiritual practice designed to align your heart with God by intentionally giving up something our bodies need for a set period of time. It hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out.

The goal of fasting is to draw near to God.

Fasting does not change God; it changes us. It resets the soul, renews the mind, and prepares our hearts for what God wants to do in our lives.

As you decide on a fasting type and length, seek God in prayer and follow the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Types of Fasts

ELIMINATION FAST

This type of fast involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweeteners, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

ELIMINATION FAST

Our Main Auditorium is open during these hours as a quiet space for personal prayer. These times are self-guided and non-facilitated to allow you to seek God at your own pace.

FASTING
LENGTH

While we are focusing on prayer and fasting for 21-days, you can choose the number of days and the dates for any of the fasting types listed above. When deciding how long to fast, consider your prior fasting experience, medical conditions, and events happening in your life. Common lengths for a fast are 3, 7, 14, or 21 days. If you're new to fasting, it may be wise to choose a shorter partial or selective fast.
