Here at Evangel Worship we have a passion for worship, and there is nothing people like better than to be a part of a team that operates and flows well together. Here are a few helpful tips about how to make it happen on the stage.

1. To start, the absolute most important thing a team member can do for any event. Before you arrive for a practice rehearsal - PRACTICE. There is nothing harder than going to a rehearsal to practice songs that you don’t know. Not only this, but it puts an extra amount of stress onto the worship leader and the rest of the team. Arriving and feeling confident about the set will not only help yourself, but the rest of the team enjoy your time of fun together.

2. Its always very important that the worship leader has the flow of the song down. But after he communicates it to the team its always very important that the team remembers it! Often in the hype of a song its easy to forget or even to get lost. The very simple solution to the problem is to take lots of notes. This will make sure everyone is on the same page, and will keep a steady flow through the duration of the set.

3. Lastly, is “The Fraction Theory” of a worship team. Especially when you have talented musicians on a team, it’s often easy to flow and ad lib with your instrument. This is an amazing ability, and adds so much to the overall sound of the team. But caution is also required in this area. Too much of this can be overwhelming to your worshipers in the congregation. To stay in the safe zone, “the fraction theory” would encourage team members to keep it simple in order to share the “musical space” on the stage.

Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
