The Slurry Wall at the World Trade Center was one of the only walls to stay standing when the towers fell. It was a foundational wall built to hold back the groundwater of the Hudson River. If that wall would have fallen, then the devastion would have been compounded with Hurricane Sandy-like flooding. But, because the wall stood strong, rescue efforts could take place.

In the same way, God will sometimes strengthen us to stand strong when the world comes crashing down, and it's at this stage that we become the greatest witnesses to who Jesus Christ is.

This is the second message of our "Landmarks" series at the Element. This series is all about 3 landmarks from around the world that will change the culture of your life of you walk through them. The Love Lock Bridge in Paris is a place where lovers bring a padlock with their names written on it and lock it to the chain link fence on the bridge. They then throw their key into the waters below as a symbol that their commitment is forever.

In the same way, when we seal our commitment to God, it takes two parties: God and ourselves. This requires us to bring all we are to that place of commitment.

This is the first message of our "Landmarks" series at the Element. This series is all about 3 landmarks from around the world that will change the culture of your life of you walk through them. They will launch you into power, victory, confidence, and identity and will help you to understand your calling from a new perspective.

The Seattle Gum Wall is exactly what it sounds like, a wall in Seattle completely covered in gum. It wasn't always that way, in fact, that wall was created to house something special on the inside. However, over time, the people of the world began to define that wall based on what was stuck to its outside, thereby devaluing what's on the inside.

Our lives are the same way. Many of us are defined by what we have allowed the world to stick to us. It's time to restore that value and shine as the person God has created you to be.
